Journey cancels 2020 tour, citing coronavirus pandemic

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Journey has canceled the 2020 tour.

The rock band announced Monday on social media, mentioning that they are worried about the health of their fans.

Band members Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, and Arnel Pineda stated that: “There is no greater thrill for us than playing for our incredibly devoted audience, but their safety must come first”

They also said that they don’t know what will happen in the world next. Also, they care about the health of their fans and they don’t want to put it in danger.

Moreover, they stated that a refund will be available immediately for those who purchased the ticket before knowing what will happen in the world due to the horrible virus.

In their statement, they also thanked all the doctors, nurses, and other medical staff who are putting themselves in danger to help us survive the virus and they described their work as “heroic efforts”.

They also reassured their fans that they will make another tour once it’s safe to attend concerts.

 The five-month tour included more than 60 shows and was planned to begin on May 15.
