Anthony Hopkins, the Hollywood actor, just made an addition to his Oscar award. He won another of his awards for his role in the movie, The Father. The actor had won the first award about 30 years back. It was for the movie, The Silence of the Lambs. He earned the title of the top honor over Chadwick Boseman, the Black Panther actor. Chadwick recently passed away in the month of August, at the age of 43. The reason for his death was cancer. Anthony Hopkins was absent from the ceremony and could not receive his award for “The Father,” personally.

Both Lead Actors Of The Father Got Nominated

The performance of the winner stood out against a number of other magnificent actors. They include Riz Ahmed from the “Sound of Metal”, the actor from “Mank,” Gary Oldman, and the “Minari” actor, Steven Yeun. The Oscar winner was not able to bag any wins after his last achievement. He had won his previous award for his portrayal in the thriller of 1991, like Hannibal Lecter. Anthony Hopkins had been nominated a total of time for the award.

He became the oldest actor to get nominated under the category of “Best Actor” for the role in “The Father.” the movie also got nominated for the category of “Best Picture.” The co-star of the film, Olivia Colman, too got nominated for the category of “Best Supporting Actress.”
