The Denver Nuggets seem to be on the verge of being removed from the second consecutive playoff series- this time at the hands of the Warriors. In the last match, the GSW had a famous run in the end when they beat the team from Denver by five.
Golden State also had a 9-2 run to end the game, and the Nuggets were seemingly scoreless for close to six straight possessions until a Barton tip-in shot at garbage time slowly tilted the scales. This seems to be the 6th consecutive playoff series loss for the team from Denver, and it doesn’t really look good for the Nuggets, as teams have an all-time 0-143 when they are trailing 0-3 in a playoff series.
Warriors Are Looking To Bury The Nuggets
Although Jokic from the Nuggets had a good game with 37 points, 18 rebounds, 5 assists, and three steals, he was no match for the marksmanship shown by the Warriors. They had nailed around 18 three-pointers on 45% shooting from deep. It should also be noted that while Poole and Curry both had three threes, Thompson marked a game-high six. The Nuggets gave their all in the arena, but GSW simply turned out to be the better team.
Although the first quarter began with Jokic making a basket with an isolation hook shot, it was the Poole show after that. The star baller gave the Warriors a lead of 7-4 with a driving layup- which was then followed by Draymond Green with a three-pointer. Morris from the Nuggets then cut down the lead to two with a floater. Although it was soon followed by Gary Payton II from the Nuggets- who scored five in a row, Curry answered that with his own floater.
Although the same tussle continued throughout the second and the third quarter, the Warriors looked to shut the game down in the fourth quarter finally.
