The official advertising trailer for the forthcoming Super Bowl LVI halftime performance has been uploaded by Pepsi. Snoop Dogg, 50, Mary J. Blige, 51, Eminem, 49, Dr. Dre, 56, and Kendrick Lamar, 34, will perform on February 13.

Gary Gray, the director of Straight Outta Compton, made the trailer. It’s called The Call. The three-minute, 48-second film depicts each artist going about their daily lives in their separate worlds before being notified of the Super Bowl chance via their phones.

The teaser then shows them traveling to Los Angeles, where the annual athletic event will be hosted at SoFi Stadium.

Each of their entrances is accompanied by one of their most famous songs: Eminem’s “Rap God,” Snoop Dogg’s “The Next Episode,” Mary J. Blige’s “Family Affair,” Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE,” and Dr. Dre’s “Still D.R.E.” As a result, they all assemble to SoFi Stadium united, Avengers-style, while 2Pac’s “California Love” plays. Dr. Dre appears alongside Roger Troutman on the notorious tune.

Gary Gary directed the trailer, according to a Pepsi press release. Gary has also directed critically acclaimed films such as Friday, Set It Off, and Straight Outta Compton. He grew up in South L.A., which is where the Super Bowl will be hosted. Not only is Gary returning home, but so are Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Kendrick Lamar. They are all deeply rooted in West Coast hip-hop.

According to Reuters, NFL officials predict a packed stadium for the highly anticipated athletic event, which will take place one day before Valentine’s Day.

The facility, which seats 70,240 people, has no capacity restriction, but supporters must present immunization passports and wear face masks.
