Oscar De La Hoya, the renowned boxer is currently in hospital with Coronavirus just days preceding his boxing match. This is according to the posts of the fighter on social media platforms. Oscar De La Hoya also said that while he has been fully vaccinated, his return to the arena of boxing after around thirteen years will have to wait for a little longer! 

Match Between Belfort And Oscar De La Hoya Has Been Officially Called Off!

He tweeted that he is very thankful and grateful for all the tremendous amount of support that he has received from his fans lately. He also added that Coronavirus has finally managed to kick his ass too. 

The match between Oscar De La Hoya and Vitor Belfort, the fighter is scheduled on 11th September in LA. Due to the condition of De La Hoya, the match has been called off. This is according to the confirmation received from Triller, fight promoter! Instead, there will be a fight between Evander Holyfield and Belfort. Oscar De La Hoya also holds several records to his belt! He has been a ten-time world champion across six weight classes. This is according to the Hall of Fame of the International Boxing Championship! In 1992, he was the recipient of an amazing gold medal in Barcelona!
