UCLA Professor Claims Americans Have No Other Choice But To Riot

UCLA Professor Robin Kelley spoke up today to recommend that black Americans have no other alternative but to riot in the wake of the death of George Floyd, who passed away in cops custody in Minneapolis, Minnesota recently.

UCLA published some interviews with professors today about the civil discontent that is presently afflicting our country, as riots continue to spread out throughout the nation like wildfire.

Buildings all over the country have been burned down and acts of violence have been dedicated left and right, yet Kelley claims that black Americans were entrusted to no choice but to turn to this sort of trouble.

“I’m 58 years old now. I don’t remember a year that there wasn’t half a dozen cases, spectacular cases of police violence. You could do a New York Times front page, just like you did of the COVID deaths, and easily get 100,000 names, beginning in 1960, of people who died,” Kelley stated.

“My wife asked me this question last night, ‘Do you think this is right?’ I said, ‘What other choice do people have?’”

It appears to me that there are lots of other alternatives besides violence and robbery, but that’s simply my take!

UCLA Professor Darnell Hunt, who teaches sociology and African American research studies, stated in his interview that it stinks for individuals to utilize the word “riot” to explain what is taking place today. “The term ‘riot’ tends to connote a senseless venting of frustration, of destroying your own community and all these other things that are counterproductive, as if there couldn’t be political value in urban unrest and forcing the system to examine itself,” Hunt stated.

He included that Americans have ended up being unjustly prejudiced versus the word “looting” regardless of the truth that a lot of the looters throughout the 1992 Los Angeles riots, which were performed in action to the death of Rodney King, took standard requirements.

“You had a huge immigrant population that was barely getting by, barely surviving, and people were going to drugstores and ‘looting’ diapers, things to make ends meet in their families,” Hunt continued.

“To minimize that as just, ‘Oh, people are just looting,’ completely robbed it of the political content and the political possibilities that people are trying to communicate by taking a risk and getting involved.”

These drastically leftwing teachers can state whatever they desire, but the truth is that there are constantly other alternatives besides turning to violence.

What took place to Floyd was incorrect, but his death needs to not be utilized as a reason to spread out more violence and turmoil throughout America.

It appears to me that there are lots of other alternatives besides violence and robbery, but that’s simply my take!
