Fauci Responds To Trump Tweet: ‘I Have Not Been Misleading The American Public Under Any Circumstances’

US’ leading infectious diseases expert, Anthony Fauci clarified early Tuesday that he has not been misleading Americans “under any circumstance” as a retort to President Trump’s insinuation against Fauci in a tweet.

In the tweet, Trump mentioned that Fauci has “misled the American public on many issues.” He also called Dr. Fauci “a little bit of an alarmist.”

Replying to the same tweet Fauci mentioned how he is not a frequent user of the social media platform. He mentioned he had no intentions of turning the situation any worse. He wishes to just continue his job irrespective of such obstacles.

“We’re in the middle of a crisis with regard to an epidemic, a pandemic, this is what I do, this is what I’ve been trained for my entire professional life, and I’ll continue to do it,” he further added.

The President and Fauci still continue to maintain good relations. But, on another hand, Peter Navarro, White House trade advisor, who authored an op-ed on USA Today attacking Fauci. He told Brian Kilmeade, Fox News, that he there is no regret in him regarding the publication of the op-ed
