Cher’s New Christmas Song Adds Festive Cheer To The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Cher

Cher’s performance at the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was incredible. The 77-year-old singer wrapped off Thursday morning’s events after a flurry of vibrant floats and acts that captivated viewers from all around the nation. With a new song from her album Christmas, “DJ Play a Christmas Song,” the singer and actress entertained the audience. A throng of dancers holding big red hearts encircled her, and Flavour Flav, who was shown shouting and applauding in the New York City crowd, even gave her a round of applause.

Cher Looking Stunning As Ever In Her Latest Performance

Cher was unaffected by a little transmission issue that, according to Entertainment Weekly, caused the visual feed to be halted and display distorted colors while the audio remained unaltered. Cher looked stunning in her finest winter attire, complete with a sparkling silver coat that she removed during the show and an outfit of black leggings covered in sequins. The rendition of her hit song followed appearances by Broadway shows including Spamalot, Back to the Future: The Musical, Shucked, and artists like Jon Batiste, Brandy, J. J, Decker, Chicago, David Foster, En Vogue, and Ashley Park, Katharine McPhee, and Pentatonix.

Cher will be returning to the stage in just a few weeks for the annual lighting of the Rockefeller Centre Christmas tree in New York City, so this was not her only holiday appearance. She will play two tracks, a solo and a duet with Darlene Love. The duet is probably going to be “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),” which they recently recorded for Cher’s upcoming Christmas album. Chloe Bailey, Adam Blackstone, Keke Palmer, Foster and McPhee, Liz Gillies, Seth MacFarlane, Barry Manilow, Carly Pearce, and Manuel Turizo are among the other performers scheduled to be on stage during the two-hour event.
